House Building

Annabel had an 8th grade science project to build a house with certain parameters and rules that would be well insulated and retain heat. This is a project largely done at home and we all had fun chipping in ideas, materials, and time helping her and a friend get it done. It was such fun and the girls made it look so cute! Their theme was from a game they all play on their phones (me, too- I'm obsessed!)- Block Blast. They even had a place where you could "play" the game, complete with removable velcroed pieces. So fun!

Fun side note- Daniel did this project when he was in 8th grade, too- you can see his house here- from March 2023, just scroll down a little bit!

Here are pictures from Annabel's house, both in progress and all finished!

Winter Symphony Orchestra Concert

These are pictures from Annabel's latest symphony performance in February!

Such a great night, as always! The flute choir played in the lobby before the concert and again on stage during the concert. And then of course, she played a few songs with the whole orchestra.

Next up, Annabel has her audition for the high school band due! She'd like to place in the mid-level band (there are 3 at our high school, one requires no audition, the other two do, with the top level mainly upper class students). Fingers crossed!
