Our Engineer

Daniel has been having a lot of fun with our new race track (or "road" as he calls it). He makes all sorts of obstacles for it- hills, tunnels, bumps, mountains, etc. He likes to see how far the cars can go. He tries different cars on it, too (not just the ones that light up). I've discovered that 10 feet is not a lot when you make hills and such (it sounded like a lot when I got it!), and it just so happened that Zulily ran a sale on the track and cars again this week, so we ordered 20 more feet (and more cars, too)! That will be lots of fun! Anyway, our little guy has become quite the engineer designing obstacles, trying different things around the house to make the hills smaller or bigger and seeing what works and what doesn't and so on. It's been fun! Check it out!

The couch was an awesome mountain to start the track on!
Daniel even figured out how to shore up the track with game boxes.

I love these next few pictures of Daniel.
His expression is so sweet.
And so young looking to me!

He wanted to make a tunnel with the blocks, so I helped him tape them together. What a fun idea Daniel had!

Daniel then started to make ramps with cardboard scraps and pretty much anything flat. He's so clever and caught on pretty quickly to being quite creative with materials around the house!

Daniel even tried a "ramp" on his head! So silly!
