Enchanted Railroad at the Arboretum!

The Arboretum's train display is back! They switched things up a little this time and put out the train exhibit after the holidays, starting today in fact, and since it was warm-ish today, we decided to go check it out this afternoon. What a nice little outing we had!

We had fun checking out the train display, which has changed from the holiday theme of past years to a four seasons theme, so you could look for ghosts and pumpkins in the fall season part of the display, snow and holiday houses in the winter season, etc. etc. It was pretty cute and so fun to play a sort of "I Spy" with it. The kids had a lot of fun spotting the Wizard of Oz characters in the Spring section, too. (We just watched that movie last weekend- so fun! They loved it! But that's a story for another post!) Anyway, it was fun to check all that out. And then of course we tackled the hedge maze (girls vs. boys!) and wandered around the Children's Garden looking for the hiding gnomes (Daniel counted in his notebook as we went along and we found all 15 of them!). It was so nice to get out and get us all some fresh air! So glad the weather is "warm" again! I'm sure we'll be back there before long...I spy a chocolate event we might have to attend!
