Pumpkin Farm Field Trip

Back at the beginning of October, Daniel's preschool class had a field trip to a local pumpkin farm. Daniel was very excited for me to take him and have a morning out with just me! It was a much warmer day this year than it was when we went last year- we were super bundled up last year, even mittens and hats, so it was nice to be out in great fall weather this time! We rode the hayride, the mini-train ride, did the corn maze, fed a goat, and just wandered around and had a good time for almost two hours! We hung out with Daniel's friend Jack a little bit- Daniel was very keen to ask Jack to do the corn maze with us for our second round through it and the two boys had fun working their way through it together (it was hardly a "maze" until about the last 10% of it when it did actually get challenging!), but other than that, Jack had his whole family with him so they did their thing, and anyway, we were happy on our own the two of us- it was such a special morning that way.

Daniel waits for the train ride to start!

Daniel was really excited to feed the goats...which of course lasted about two seconds! He didn't want to do that again once he found out how gooey his hands would get! It was too funny. And then we got stopped by the Kindergarten teacher for a picture and Daniel could not say "cheese" and beeline any faster to get his washed- she's lucky he stopped as long as he did to snap a picture!

I'd never seen a white turkey before. And this guy was too funny, struttin' about like he owned the place!

Daniel remembered "driving" this tractor last year and it was something he really wanted to do again this time!

Cute photo op outside the corn maze!

Daniel loved the bounce houses they had there and spent a long time in them!

Figuring out the corn maze!

Daniel invited his friend Jack to join us for our second round through.

Group photo op...very interesting to attempt spontaneously with a bunch of 3,4 & 5 year olds!
