The kids were so excited that Grandma Cheryl was taking us somewhere fun! We spent a good couple hours there and could have spent a lot more time there had it not closed. We rode the carousel and the train. We played on the huge multi-level playground complete with mini houses all over the place. The kids played in the corn tables (like a sand table, only filled with corn kernels). The kids also had a ball riding the mini tractors. Annabel also tried the pony ride but deemed it "too tippy" after not even one time around.
Annabel fell in love with the zip line at the playground- girl could have spent forever on that alone! It was too bad (or maybe a good thing?) she discovered that at the end of the day. It was "supposed" to be for ages 5 and up, but Annabel did great on it, taking turns so fantastically, holding on tightly, she really was fine, and the funny thing was, in the end, it was just Annabel and another three year old left doing it, since the older kids had all run off. Annabel did this zip line over and over and over again- she just LOVED it! Daniel tried it once and was fine until it bounced back on him at the end where it hits the spring- he did NOT like that part, so he didn't do it again needless to say- once was clearly enough! Annabel couldn't get enough of it, though! It'll be interesting to go back sometime and see if she still loves it...ages and stages, after all, but this time...boy was that a HIT! SO fun to watch her- that alone was priceless!
Anyway, it was a great afternoon with Grandma Cheryl! I'd love to go back when we have some more time to check it all out...there's so much we didn't get to and the kids really did have a great time!
