Zoo Fun with Friends

I have SO much to catch up on, I'm not even sure where to start! So, I'm gonna go in chronological order, starting with...well, apparently, a month ago! (Already?)

About a month ago, our friends Delilah and Asher invited us to go to the zoo with them. And any chance to see our friends is a chance we pretty much grab- the kids love seeing Delilah and Asher! It was a beautiful day to be at the zoo- perfect for picking Daniel up from school with picnic lunches in tow and heading straight to meet our friends at the zoo. The kids had a great time seeing some of each of their favorite animals- giraffes, bears, zebras, penguins, and of course playing on the playground.

We extended our visit once our friends left by stopping at the play zoo to have some fun in there before we headed out. The craft for the day was to make butterflies which the kids had fun doing. Daniel was keen to make his hole-punched dots symmetrical, which I thought was cool!

We had a great few hours there, enjoying fresh air and time with our friends!

Waterfall splash in the penguin building- a must do for Daniel, who loves this! This was literally the very first time Annabel has ever set her feet down on the ground in front of this thing...she is usually in my arms very tightly holding onto my neck as we quickly walk straight past this thundering water splash! She has never liked this part of the penguin building, though the penguins are her favorite animal, so clearly, the water fall has never stopped her seeing her fave animal. Anyway, it was too funny that this was such a different story when with friends- I was proud of how brave she was!
