When we drove home from the wedding in Wisconsin a few weekends ago, we stopped at the orchard where Grandma Mary and Grandpa Larry like to go apple picking since it was on the way home. The kids were really excited to give this a try! This also gave us some more time to spend with Aunt Wendy, Uncle Brad, and Aunt Rose. It was a beautiful day to be there, too!! We got there mid-afternoon so it was really busy and pretty picked over, but the kids didn't mind and they each had a ball filling up their bags with apples with the help of the taller guys. Daniel walked around eating the last apple he picked after his bag was full. Annabel didn't like her apple, so Daddy finished it off. There was a little maze the kids had fun wandering in and a store to check out. The kids had fun trying out the apple cider, too, and deciding that they did like it after all! All in all, it was a fun outing and now we've been apple picking...we can check that off our list of things to do with kids! Thank you Grandma Mary Kay and Grandpa Larry for taking us with you!
